Your wax creations will be weighed at the end of class to give you a price in final metal.

You will leave this class with the basic knowlegde and skills to make your own jewelry using the wax casting process.

What is Wax Carving?

A ancient way of making jewelry. We will begin with a piece of wax that you will file, saw, and carve down to the desired design. Your finished piece will be sent to the caster in a choice of metals.

Wax carving is a great way to begin jewelry making or even add to your metal smithing repetore - adding more organic shapes to traditional sheet metal and wire.
